I love Tomb Raider, but there was far too much action in that clip, which was a concern for many on the Tomb Raider re-boot.

I hope it keeps true to what made Tomb Raider great ie mostly puzzle adventure with some action thrown in, not the other way around.

Great animation but I don't like the direction the trailer seems to suggest the game is going, IE moving away from the puzzle solving / exploring elements that for me, make it a Tomb Raider game.

Far too much action and to top it all (just going by the way they did the trailer), Lara traversed at least five miles through dense forest, gets her leg trapped underwater climbs the pyramid to the top, all in the time it took for the high priest fella to lift a dagger and plunge it into the tied up sacrifice? It must be the slowest stabbing ever  :o

Interesting Poll over on trueachievements.com asking which style of Tomb Raider game people prefer. I'm surprised there isn't more love for the old puzzle/exploring/animal murdering style of the older games.

I very much enjoyed both of the re-boot games, and although I don't mind the set pieces and Lara Nathan Drake Croft direction, some of the most memorable parts for me where the optional tombs, even if they were a bit brief.

Maybe we are just old Orbs, people want Micheal Bay spectacular these days. :P

That pole only provides a true reflection to the question if the majority or all of the voters were old enough to play both game sets.

To be even handed, I have to say that there were quite a few of the pre-reboot Tomb Raider titles were a bit iffy. I remember fondly the very first Tomb Raider and the first levels that included shooting dogs with pistols. TR 3 & 4 were also great, TR4 being my favourite.

I like the reboots too, that quality is amaizing, it's just the shift in emphasis away from the puzzle solving / exploring that I don't like, and the new game to be release looks like it staying with the action packed theme with a thicker layer of Splinter Cell style coat of paint.

Totally agree, then i remembered i'm old too lol

for me theres far too much hand holding in current games, you only have to stop for a minute to look around and theres some kind of text, voice hint telling you what to do.
Bring back the old school being stuck in a cavern for days because you'd slightly missed the glaringly obvious (once you saw it) way out haha.

as i was saying to my mate the other day though unfortunately we arent 'target audience' anymore.

I think the next game after this one will be different though as this is the final installment in the reboot trilogy so (hopefully) there will be more actual tomb raiding in future titles.
